The infrastructural complex of Šiauliai Remand Prison (400 places for convicts and 182 employees). The infrastructure will include all the necessary elements for this type of infrastructure (Control and Passing Point; Administrative-service complex; Regime complex; Boiler room), with a total area of premises of more than 16 thousand square meters.
Activity delegated to a private entity: design; construction; services (waste management, administration and maintenance of the developed infrastructure, maintenance of engineer systems and networks).
The PPP contract will be signed for a period of 15 years, including around 3 years for developing the infrastructure and the remaining 12 years for operating it.
The private investor or investors will invest their own financial resources into the infrastructure and will take in the construction and infrastructure operation risks.

On November 2022 the Prison Department Of Lithuania held the second round of public presentation and discussion for interested business representatives concerning procurement documents. Public presentation (921.4 KB ).

On July 2022 The Government of the Republic of Lithuania approved the decision that the project will be implemented as the Public-Private Partnership.

On 27 May 2022 project was represented in Central Project Management Agency event.

On 21 October 2021 Central Project Management Agency evaluated socio-economic benefits of the partnership project.
