Description:
The project aims to grant a private partner the right to construct a category III trunk road for transit traffic around the centre of Zarasai city (length – 9.34 km., 2 lanes), and to carry out their repair and maintenance during the period of provision of services
Area: Roads, bridges, tunnels, parking and other infrastructure of road transporte
Current situation
- July 6, 2026 – The procurement for the selection of a private partner to implement the project was published in the Central Public Procurement Information System (CVP IS). Initial tenders may be submitted until September 4, 2026.
- May 28, 2026 – A market consultation on the procurement documents was published in the CVP IS.
- February 25, 2026 – The Government of the Republic of Lithuania approved the implementation of the "Construction and Maintenance of the Zarasai Bypass" project under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model.
- On 23 September 2025 Central Project Management Agency provided a conclusion on the PPP application.
